The S100 has also been given the latest DIGIC 5 version processor which offers better speed and image quality than the earlier DIGIC 4 versions. The sensitivity range has been extended to ISO80-6400 as well.
The Canon S100 has also been equipped with a 24-120mm zoom lens that is considered equivalent to a 35mm lens. It has GPS functionality and improved aesthetics. It can capture raw files at a default burst model speed of 2.3 frames per second. There is a new High-speed Burst HQ mode available as well that allows 8 shots of full-resolution captured at a speed of 9.6 fps.
This camera also has the ability to capture videos at 24 fps along with stereo sound. It shoots Full HD videos of 1080p which is an enhancement from the 720p of the S95. This high-end compact model has been equipped with a number of other features as well. It allows high quality images and video recordings that can easily satisfy camera enthusiasts.
This camera has also received a rating of 9.7 from the users. They appear to have been delighted by the performance that this small camera has to offer. The functions available in this model have given Canon yet another competitive edge and other manufacturers are now trying to push even harder to match the S100.
The Power Shot camera may be small in size but is very practical in use. It functions are extremely user friendly and offer convenience and speed. This model has been built specifically for functionality and not looks although, its aesthetics have also been improved from the S95.
